About Me
My name is Rebecca Hirons. I have worked in the NHS for more than 15 years, initially I practiced as an Occupational Therapist, specialising in adult mental health before completing post graduate training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy over 5 years. I am a fully accredited therapist with ‘The British Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapists’ (BABCP) and have been practicing CBT within Warwickshire GP surgeries for the NHS ever since. In the last 12 months I have also enjoyed lecturing in CBT at De Montford University, Leicester. Teaching and supporting trainee nurses to use CBT principles within their care of patients. I am passionate about what I do and get tremendous job satisfaction from helping people to make the change they want and need. Developing a friendly, common sense, high quality private practice has been an ambition for a while, so I was excited that in 2014 I had the opportunity to start ‘Therapy Warwickshire’. It feels wonderful to be providing a flexible evening practice to complement my ongoing therapy for the NHS.
